Reusable cellular device for pill-blisters

With its cellular network, Mepill is a unique device that detects when a pill is extracted in real-time wherever you are in the world. It connects to a sustainable smart package with no single-use electronics and batteries, has safe data handling and the option to integrate into other IT systems thanks to Mevia’s APIs.

Eco-friendly adherence with Mepill

Step into a healthier future with Mepill – a solution for adherence and a sustainable commitment.

Our cellular device not only tracks pill extraction in real-time but also comes in paper-based packaging with no single-use electronics and batteries, eliminating e-waste concerns. In a world producing 57.4 million tons of electronic waste in 2021 alone, Mepill stands out as an eco-conscious choice.
Say goodbye to toxic e-waste and embrace a solution that prioritises your well-being and the planet.

How Mepill works

The pharmaceutical blister is left unchanged and integrated into Mevia's package through the customisation of conductive traces, that are broken when a pill is taken. Mepill can easily monitor 28 pills, across one or several blisters of different sizes and shapes. The package can include both child safety and tamper evidence features.

Mepill has been designed in cooperation with patients to make it easy to use and handle. When connected, the device detects when a trace is broken and a pill is taken. Through Mepills integrated roaming SIM card and cellular network, data is transferred in real-time wherever the device is located. The user is updated through a button and a LED light on the device, as well as through our app and customised text messages.
